The Telugu Film Directors Association elections concluded with a resounding victory for the panel led by V N Adithya and Sai Rajesh, marking one of the most decisive mandates in the association’s history. Sai Rajesh secured 938 votes out of 1,054, making it a historic win.
While V N Adithya was elected as president, Sai Rajesh—who played a key role in building the panel and mobilising support—took on the role of treasurer.
The overwhelming result reflected the strong trust that directors placed in Sai Rajesh’s vision for welfare and unity within the direction department.
Sai Rajesh emerged as the driving force behind the campaign, bringing together both senior and young filmmakers under one banner.
He was widely regarded as the face of the movement and the architect of the panel’s agenda.
Despite this, Sai Rajesh chose to place senior director V N Adithya in the president’s chair.
This gesture was seen as a mark of respect for experience and leadership, reinforcing the collaborative spirit that defined the panel’s campaign. The victory also showcased unprecedented solidarity within the fraternity.
Speaking after the win, Sai Rajesh credited the success to the collective effort of the entire directors’ community.
He emphasised that the panel’s eight-point agenda and welfare initiatives had resonated strongly with members, leading to the sweeping mandate.
With strong backing from both senior and upcoming directors, the new leadership under V N Adithya and Sai Rajesh has promised to strengthen welfare programs and work towards creating a more united and supportive ecosystem for filmmakers.
