The cliffhanger ending of Allu Arjun starrer "Pushpa: The Rise" left fans eagerly awaiting its sequel, "Pushpa: The Rule."
Initially, the makers of "Pushpa 2" announced August 15, 2024, as its release date. However, due to incomplete post-production work, the release date was pushed to December 6, 2024. An official statement cited the need for additional time to complete the remaining shoot.
The delay sparked widespread outrage among fans who expressed their disappointment on social media. Now, rumors are swirling that Sukumar’s action thriller might be postponed even further.
Several reports suggest that "Pushpa 2" could be delayed to 2025, with speculation pointing to Allu Arjun’s trimmed beard as a reason behind the delay.
Rumors indicate that the actor altered this crucial element of his character’s look due to an irregular shooting schedule, and a subsequent family vacation caused further delays.
Additionally, the director’s US trip is said to have impacted the schedule. Amidst these rumors, some claim they are false, and only an official clarification can calm down the impatient fans.
When GreatAndhra.com contacted Pushpa 2 producer Naveen, he clarified that the rumors circulating on social media are baseless. He assured that the film would be released in December 2024, as planned. He also emphasized that there are no differences or disappointments between Sukumar and Allu Arjun, contrary to the discussions online.
The upcoming action thriller is a direct sequel to the 2021 Telugu blockbuster "Pushpa: The Rise," which narrated the story of a laborer who becomes part of the red sandalwood smuggling syndicate.
The film will see Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil reprising their roles as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, respectively.
Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, "Pushpa: The Rule" promises to continue the gripping story of its predecessor.
