Former Lok Sabha member and Bharatiya Janata Party leader M Vijayashanti on Friday fumed at Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for deciding to sell away the government lands to mobilise additional resources for the state.
Taking to social media to attack the TRS government, Vijayashanti alleged that KCR, who had pushed a rich state like Telangana into a debt trap, was selling the government lands to make money. In future, there would be no land for taking up any major projects in the state, she said.
Reacting to TRS minister T Harish Rao’s statement that the previous governments too had resort to sale of government lands to raise money, the BJP leader wondered how could the KCR government make the same mistake which was done by the previous governments.
“We all strongly opposed the Congress government’s move to sell the lands then. How can you make the same mistake? How can you claim it as a right decision?” she asked.
She also found fault with the KCR government for completely neglecting the education sector.
“For more than three years, there were no vice-chancellors to the universities in the state. After getting a reprimand from the high court, the government finally appointed the VCs for the universities,” she said.
Now, the media brought to light that more than three-fourths of the posts of professors and lecturers were lying vacant in the universities.
“In all, there are 2,152 posts remain unfilled for several years. Though a decision was taken to fill up 1,000 vacancies of professors, no recruitment was done till now,” she alleged.
Stating that all systems had collapsed during the TRS regime, Vijayashanti said the only solution to all these problems was to pull down the KCR government.
