Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy is the new name making waves in Telangana politics. He has been selected by the Congress party for the MP ticket to contest in Khammam.
His father, Ramasahayam Surender Reddy, is a wealthy landlord who has always maintained a low profile in the media, upholding his status and dignity in line with his wealth.
Surender Reddy was elected as the Dornakal MLA three times and as the Warangal MP twice. He was a close friend of former Indian Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. However, Surender Reddy has stayed away from politics since 1996. He is now 92 and in good health.
Now, his son is entering politics.
Interestingly, Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy is a close relative of film hero Daggubati Venkatesh. Venkatesh's daughter, Ashritha, is married to Raghuram Reddy's eldest son, Vinayak Reddy.
Moreover, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is also a relative. His daughter, Swapni Reddy, is married to Raghuram Reddy's second son, Arjun Reddy.
