Aakash Institute Founder JC Chaudhry has bought a bungalow in Delhi's Greater Kailash for â¹51 crore and three luxury apartments at DLF's The Camellias in Gurugram for around â¹150 crore, The Economic Times reported. Chaudhry reportedly paid â¹3.06 crore in stamp duty alone for the Greater Kailash property. Notably, Aakash Institute was bought by BYJU'S in a $950-million deal.
Narendra Modi Stadium Sets Guinness World Record
Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad has set the Guinness World Record for the highest attendance in a T20, the BCCI announced. The record was created on May 29, 2022, when 1,01,566 people attended the IPL 2022 final at the stadium. Sharing pictures of Secretary Jay Shah receiving the certificate, the BCCI wrote, "A proud moment for everyone as India creates...Guinness World Record."
Bronze Sculpture Worth £1.3 million
Costing £1.3 million, a bronze sculpture by English artist Henry Moore has been purchased for the garden at UK PM Rishi Sunak's 10 Downing Street residence amid the country's inflation. A 1980 sculpture, it's believed to have been sold at a Christie's auction last month. Meanwhile, Downing Street said no politicians were involved in the decision to acquire the artwork.
