Hombale Films founder Vijay Kiragandur stated they have submitted their application to the Oscars for Rishab Shetty-starrer 'Kantara'.
"[We] have our fingers crossed as the final nominations are yet to come. 'Kantara'...is so rooted that we hope it can find a voice worldwide as well," Vijay added. Earlier, 'RRR' makers also submitted applications for 14 categories in the Oscars.

COVID-19 Cases In USA Surpass 100-Million
The US has recorded over 100 million COVID-19 cases since the beginning of pandemic, Johns Hopkins University said. Over 1 million people have died in the US due to the pandemic, it added. California recorded more than 11.6 million cases in the US, highest on the state-level caseload list. Texas and Florida recorded 8.1 million and over 7.3 million cases, respectively.
