Speculation about superstar Mahesh Babu teaming up with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga once again has resurfaced on social media.
The project in question is “Devil,” a script that Vanga reportedly narrated to Mahesh back in 2020. At that time, Mahesh is said to have declined it, citing concerns over its violent and adult content.
After the massive success of “Animal,” starring Ranbir Kapoor, there was renewed buzz that Mahesh had shown interest in collaborating with Vanga.
The director’s bold storytelling in “Animal” significantly transformed Ranbir’s on-screen image, leading to assumptions that a similar reinvention could happen with Mahesh.
On Monday, fan pages and several social media handles began circulating reports that “Devil” would be revived next year, allegedly backed by producer Suneil Narang. The news quickly gained traction among fans.
However, sources close to the development clarify that there is no truth to these claims. Vanga is currently fully focused on “Spirit,” starring Prabhas.
Post that, he is committed to directing “Animal Park,” the sequel to “Animal,” again with Ranbir Kapoor. As of now, no project has been finalized with Mahesh Babu.
