If the reports from a section of media are to be believed, megastar and former Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi will participate in an election rally next week.
No, Chiranjeevi is not going to campaign for Jana Sena Party, floated by his youngest brother Pawan Kalyan in Andhra Pradesh; nor will he campaign for his younger brother Nagababu, who is contesting in Narasapuram Lok Sabha constituency.
According to the reports, the mega star has agreed to campaign for a few hours for Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Congress candidate from Chevella parliamentary constituency, on April 8.
Reddy is related to Chiranjeevi – his niece Upasana Kamineni (daughter of Sobhana Kamineni, who is in turn sister of Reddy’s wife Sangeetha Reddy) is married to the megastar’s son and actor Ram Charan Teja.
Very recently, Vishweshwar Reddy went to Chiranjeevi’s residence and sough his support for the Congress in Chevella parliamentary constituency.
Though Chiranjeevi has been keeping away from Congress activities for quite some time, he has agreed to campaign for Reddy for a few hours.
It is learnt Chiranjeevi will attend a rally at Chevella to be addressed by Congress president Rahul Gandhi on April 8. In all probability, Rahul’s mother Sonia Gandhi might also attend the meeting.
So, it will give a big benefit to Reddy if Chiranjeevi also joins the campaign.
