Ruling YSR Congress MLA from Jaggiahpet in Krishna district, Samineni Udaya Bhanu got a great relief from the state government on Thursday.
He was relieved from 10 cases pending against him in various police stations, all of them booked during the TDP regime.
Marking the two-years of the YSR Congress government, the ruling party MLA, who is also the government whip, was freed from these cases.
Udaya Bhanu, a staunch supporter of YS family from his early Youth Congress days, continues his loyalty to Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Though he lost the 2014 general elections, Bhanu won the Jaggaiahpet seat in 2019 general elections and was made the Government Whip in the Assembly.
Cases are pending against him in Jaggaiahpet, Chillakallu, Vatsavai and Nandigama police stations, where he held several protests during the TDP rule.
The state government withdrew all these 10 cases, giving him a sigh of relief and thanking chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for the gesture.
