After displaying unusual bonhomie with Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday, Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is all set to break the ice with popular Vaishnavaite seer Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy.
According to reports, KCR has sent a message to Chinna Jeeyar Swamy a few days ago and sought his blessings for the ensuing assembly elections in the state; and that he wants to perform a Yagnam under the supervision of Swamy.
Apparently, KCR also invited Chinna Jeeyar Swamy for the consecration of Lord Sita Rama Temple at Valmidi village of Palakurthy constituency in Jangaon district on September 4. And the seer accepted the invitation.
So, for the first time after February 2022, KCR and Chinna Jeeyar Swamy would be sharing the same dais and perform pujas.
Sources said it was only after KCR broke the ice, Chinna Jeeyar visited the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Yadagirigutta on the occasion of Naga Panchami and performed special pujas on August 21.
Chinna Jeeyar visited the temple for the first time after its renovation and reopening in March, 2022. In fact, the pontiff had last visited the hill shrine in 2021 as part of the ongoing temple works.
And he was accorded massive welcome at the temple by executive officer N Geetha with temple honours, while realtor Jupally Rameshwar Rao and his wife accompanied the pontiff. The Jeeyar spent nearly four hours at the temple.
Jeeyar was all praise for KCR for the construction of the temple. He was extremely happy to visit the temple and was impressed with the sculptures of the temple.
Chinna Jeeyar also took part in the ground-breaking ceremony to build a ‘Kalyana Mandapam’ for devotees at the site where earlier ‘Balalayam’ (temporary place) was located.
On the occasion, Rameshwar Rao donated five kilograms of gold for the gold plating of ‘Vimana Gopuram’ of the temple. He would also donate 5 crore for the construction of the Kalyana Mandapam.
It may be mentioned that KCR had been keeping away from Chinna Jeeyar Swamy ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Hyderabad on February 5 to unveil Statue of Equality at his ashram in Muchintal near Shamshabad airport.
KCR not only stayed away from welcoming Modi at the Shamshabad airport but also skipped PM’s event at Chinna Jeeyar Swamy.
KCR reportedly got angrier over Swamy after Swamy compared Modi with Lord Rama in his speech and also absence of his name on the plaque at the statue.
