Actress names producer who 'told her to sleep with co-star'

Page Six reported that Sharon Stone has revealed the name of the iconic Hollywood producer who pressured her into having sex with a co-star to supposedly enhance the actor's performance.

The 'Basic Instinct' actress claimed that producer Robert Evans, who passed away in 2019, attempted to coerce her into having sex with Billy Baldwin while they were filming the 1993 thriller 'Sliver'.

During Tuesday's episode of Spotify's Louis Theroux Podcast, Stone recounted how the 'Godfather' producer summoned her to his office in the middle of her shoot and suggested that being intimate with Baldwin would salvage the film.

"He called me to his office. He had these very low '70s, and '80s couches, so I'm essentially sitting on the floor when I should have been on set. And he's running around his office in sunglasses explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin, because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin's performance would get better, and we needed Billy to get better in the movie because that was the problem,'' the 66-year-old said during the podcast.  Readmore!

"And if I could sleep with Billy then we'd have chemistry on screen, and if I would just have sex with him then that would save the movie, and the real problem with the movie was me because I was so uptight, and so not like a real actress who could just f**k him and get things back on track. The real problem was I was such a tight a**e,'' she continued.

Meanwhile, Baldwin retaliated against her accusations in a lengthy post on X and threatened to ''write a book and tell the many, many disturbing, kinky and unprofessional tales about Sharon.''

"Not sure why Sharon Stone keeps talking about me all these years later? Does she still have a crush on me or is she still hurt after all these years because I shunned her advances?... I have so much dirt on her it would make her head spin but I've kept quiet'', he wrote on X. He also shared a picture of him and Stone during an intimate scene in the movie.

Stone had previously written about the incident in her 2021 memoir, "The Beauty of Living Twice," but didn't disclose the names of either the producer or the actor in the book.

In the book, she shared that a producer attempted to pressure her into having sex with her co-star to “have onscreen chemistry,” but confirmed that she never acquiesced. Stone wrote, ''I felt they could have just hired a co-star with talent, someone, who could deliver a scene and remember his lines. I also felt that they could f— him themselves and leave me out of it.''

Notably, Robert Evans, best known for his work on 'Rosemary's Baby', 'Love Story', 'The Godfather', and 'Chinatown', died of natural causes in 2019 at the age of 89.
