2023 Roundup: Unlucky Beauties In Tollywood

Like every year, this year too, witnessed the entry of many actresses into the film  industry. However, only a few managed to make a mark. Let's discuss some of the new actresses set to grace the Telugu screen in 2023.

Vaishnavi Chaitanya, who featured in several movies, finally earned the status of a heroine with the film "Baby," one of the year's hits. Despite her success in this role, Vaishnavi Chaitanya is yet to secure the expected opportunities in subsequent projects.

Reba Monika John also garnered recognition as a successful heroine this year, particularly for her role in "Samajavaragamana." This film brought her recognition in the industry. Prior to this, she appeared in another Telugu film called "Boo," which, despite not being released in theaters, did not showcase her in a leading role.

Next is Tina Shilparaj who achieved moderate recognition with the movie "Writer Padmabhushan." Readmore!

Sakshi Vaidya, who entered the industry with high expectations, faced disappointment this year. Her debut in Tollywood was with the film "Agent," featuring Akhil, which unfortunately turned out to be a major disaster. Despite this setback, she got another opportunity in "Gandhivadhari Arjuna," which also failed to succeed.

Two other aspiring actresses who faced setbacks are Aishwarya Menon and Yukti Tareja. Aishwarya Menon made her Tollywood debut with the film "Spy," hoping for pan-India recognition, but the movie turned out to be a disaster. Similarly, Yukti Tareja, despite receiving praise for her looks before the release of "Rangabali," couldn't shine as the film failed.

Avantika Dasani, daughter of Bhagyashree, also made her Tollywood debut with the film "Nenu Student Sir." Unfortunately, her debut did not meet expectations. Ashika Ranganath, a Kannada actress with a reputable name, faced a similar fate with her Tollywood debut in "Amigos."

In addition to these actresses, Geetika Tiwari ("Ahimsa"), Gayatri Bharadwaj and Nupuru Sanan ("Tiger Nageswara Rao"), Atulya Ravi ("Meter") are among the many who couldn't find success in Tollywood this year. While numerous new talents entered with small films, only a handful managed to achieve the desired results.
