Pawan Kalyan aimed at the Hindi market with They Call Him OG. The film is indeed a big hit in Pawan Kalyan’s career and rocked the box office in its Telugu version.
But its performance in the Hindi version has shocked many. The Hindi version could hardly collect even Rs 5 crore gross as per available records, despite the film’s worldwide gross being around Rs 300 crore.
So, even the biggest hit of Pawan Kalyan couldn’t make a significant corresponding collection in Hindi.
On the other hand, Adivi Sesh’s latest film Dacoit: A Love Story collected close to Rs 35 crore worldwide so far within 5 days, and its Hindi version alone is estimated to be close to Rs 6 crore gross.
In its full run, the film may end up collecting even better.
Coming to his earlier film Major, the Hindi version itself made around Rs 11 crore gross (worldwide gross from all languages was Rs 60 Cr as per Bollywood sources). Proportionately, Adivi Sesh has a stronger Hindi market.
So, by all means, actor Adivi Sesh has far better traction in the Hindi market, even while competing with a star like Pawan Kalyan.
Dacoit-A Love Story is still running in theatres with Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles with Supriya Yarlagadda as its producer and Shaneil as director.
