Breaking stereotypes, Raashi Khanna plays an atypical role in World Famous Lover where she will be seen as Vijay Deverakonda’s partner.
The actress faced backlash after the release of the film’s teaser. But, opinion on her character was changed after the release of trailer.
“The teaser actually made people talking about the film. Buzz was created, though I received backlash for my character. Nonetheless, opinion was changed on my character in the film after trailer was released. I indeed don’t want to be stereotyped. My image will be changed with the film, only in the good way.”
Raashi Khanna states that if not Yamini, she would have done the role played by Aishwarya Rajesh.
“Apart from my character, I loved Aishwarya’s character. She has done a wonderful job.”
During trailer launch, Vijay Deverakonda made a statement that he won’t be doing love stories and World Famous Lover is his last love story. Raashi, however, feels that, he would surely do love stories after some gap.
“Women love Vijay Deverakonda. They love to see him in love stories. I don’t know why he made such statement, but he should not disappoint his female fans.”
About her character in the film, “Yamini is very close to me. It’s vulnerable side of me. There is an emotional side to everyone- men or women. I too am an emotional person and I relate to this character in the film.”
The film directed by Kranthi Madhav is all set for theatrical release on 14th of this month.
