With Steel Plant, Jagan hints at ancillary units

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy hinted at more ancillary industries coming to Kadapa district with the Steel Plant coming in the district.

Speaking after laying foundation stone for the steel plant, the chief minister said that the Rayalaseema region would become a hub of industries.

He gave an assurance to the unemployed youth of Rayalaseema region on increasing employment potential in the four districts.

He said that the Kia Motors in Ananthapur district had already started production and extension of jobs to the local people.

Jagan Mohan Reddy said that his government had made a legislation giving 75 per cent jobs to the local people in the industry.

He said that the government was also establishing skill training centers across the state and opening a new university for institutionalisation of skill training.

The chief minister also said that his government would provide water for irrigation to the Rayalaseema districts. All irrigation projects would be completed in the next five years on priority.

These initiatives, he said, would turn the Rayalaseema into prosperous region, Jagan Mohan Reddy assured.
