Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not want to meet Chandrababu Naidu who had entered into a bargain to form an alliance with them under any circumstances.
After Union Home Minister Amit Shah insisted that he should accept to work under Modi's leadership, Chandrababu had to agree.
Sources say that Amit Shah said that Modi is angry with Chandrababu and so has to give at least six Lok Sabha seats, for which Chandrababu agreed.
Even though Chandrababu requested to hold a press conference along with Amit Shah, the BJP leaders did not agree. Finally, JP Nadda made a statement. Narendra Modi did not even tweet about the alliance.
Amit Shah tweeted later stating that as both CBN and Pawan Kalyan accepted the leadership of Narendra Modi they are invited to join NDA.
BJP sources say that Modi did not even want to see Chandrababu, who insulted him many times in 2019. Modi not tweeting about these new members in NDA adds value to this opinion.
The BJP leaders say that as Chandrababu made rounds in Delhi begging to take the seats and make them join in NDA, the BJP leadership had accepted, and nothing more can be expected with this alliance.
