Why Blame Modi For Everything, Mr Naidu?

Of late, it has become a habit for Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to blame Prime Minister Narendra Modi for everything.

Whether it is an aggressive criticism by YSR Congress party against his government or the sudden barrage of attacks by power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, the TDP president suspected that it was Modi who was behind them.

He alleged that Modi was firing at him from the shoulders of Jagan and Pawan.

His bandwagon has even named it as “Operation Garuda” saying that the Prime Minister had developed a grouse against him for coming out of the NDA in protest against denial of what is due to the state, including special category status. Readmore!

A strong message was sent among the people that the Modi government might target him and his party leaders in the name of IT raids and CBI investigations with a view to pull down his government as part of this “Operation Garuda.”

Now, the latest spate of income tax raids on various business houses and institutions belonging to TDP leaders have once again given an opportunity to Naidu to blame it on Modi.

“I have been suspecting these raids for quite some time. The Modi government has been targeting the political opponents across the country by engineering such raids,” he said and cautioned his party leaders to be aware of these raids and take all precautions.

Interestingly, Naidu has started propagating that even Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister of neighbouring state K Chandrasekhar Rao also as an agent of Modi.

He said KCR was hurling abuses at him in the most un-parliamentary language at public meetings at the behest of Modi.

“In fact, I wished that the TDP would align with the TRS in the coming assembly elections in the interest of Telugu people. But KCR joined hands with Modi and has been attacking me, for no fault of mine. Does he deny the TDP’s contribution in the development of Telangana in general and Hyderabad in particular? Was it my fault to develop Hyderabad?” he asked.

But what Naidu is conveniently ignoring is that the TRS president was agitated only because the TDP had joined hands with the Congress party, which is the bitter enemy of the TRS. So, it is nothing but natural that KCR would attack both the parties.

Why should Naidu bring Modi into this simple politicking?
