Usually, young actors gravitate toward safe, commercial subjects that guarantee wider reach.
But newcomer Aniesh has taken a remarkably bold leap with Itlu Arjuna, choosing to portray a speech-impaired protagonist, an emotionally demanding role even seasoned actors’ approach with caution.
When Venky Kudumula, who is turning producer with this film, first heard the story from debut director Mahesh Uppala, he was instantly drawn to its depth.
Yet, he remained unsure about finding the right actor who could shoulder such a challenging part.
That changed once Aniesh auditioned. His conviction, body language, and sensitivity toward the character reportedly convinced the team that he could pull it off with authenticity.
Determined not to falter, Aniesh underwent dedicated training tailored to the character’s requirements, working on expressions, silence-driven performance, and emotional nuance before stepping onto the set.
His effort seems to be paying off already, since posters and the initial glimpse have drawn attention for his striking screen presence and promising performance.
With music by S Thaman and the first single set to release soon, curiosity around Itlu Arjuna is building.
