Popular Tollywood producer Bellamkonda Suresh, who was booked by the Central Crime Station police of Hyderabad for allegedly cheating a financier to the extent of Rs 85 lakh, on Saturday made a sensational statement saying a senior politician from Guntur was behind the allegations against him.
The Hyderabad police booked the case against Bellamkonda and his son Srinivas under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 417, 420 (cheating), and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code, following a court order based on a complaint from one Shravan Kumar.
While denying the allegations against him and his son, Bellamkonda said he would expose the political leader behind Shravan Kumar at an appropriate time. This has raised a lot of curiosity among the media as to who this politician from Guntur is.
In fact, Bellamkonda Suresh has virtually gone silent after the film Alludu Srinu, starring his son. He has been focussing on career planning for his children and investments in real estate business.
In fact, the case booked against Bellamkonda is not a very serious one, as it would not stand in the court of law without proper evidences.
Moreover, for influential persons with money power, such cases are quite common and their lawyers would handle such cases.
But Bellamkonda seems to have taken this case very seriously as it involved a political leader.
This has now become a talking point. According to reliable sources, the producer is suspecting the hand of a former minister belonging to Guntur district.
It is learnt the man who has filed the case against Bellamkonda has close acquaintance with relatives of this former minister.
Bellamkonda is suspecting that Shravan Kumar had filed the case only with the support of this former minister.
Let us watch out whether Bellamkonda would reveal the name of this politician or get into compromise with him.
