Where Naidu failed, Jagan succeeded!

TDP chief and AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu failed to secure the support of any state for granting special status to AP during his election meetings.

But YSRCP chief could secure the support for special status for AP from none other than TRS chief and Telangana CM KCR.

CM KCR himself announced his total support for special status to AP while addressing a public meeting in Vikarabad.

Incidentally, this was the last election meeting of KCR for Lok Sabha polls. KCR ended his Lok Sabha campaigning by extending support to AP on special status and also for speedy completion of Polavaram projects, considered to be the lifeline of AP. Readmore!

Naidu also brought several regional party leaders to AP to make them campaign for TDP.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, JDS leader Deve Gowda, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, J&K former CM Farooq Abdullah etc came to AP and campaigned for TDP, but none extended open support to AP special status.

But Jagan could achieve this feat from none other than KCR, who is publicised by TDP as 'anti Andhra'.

Neither Jagan asked KCR to support AP special status or requested KCR to visit AP and campaign for him.

Despite this, KCR himself made a sensational announcement extending support for AP special status as a 'policy decision' of TRS.

Jagan on the other hand too ended his election campaigning on Tuesday, thanking KCR for extending support to AP special status.

Jagan said that 17 TRS MPs including one AIMIM and 25 YSRCP MPs, will together have a strength of 42 MPs in Lok Sabha, who can dictate to any government at the Centre after LS polls and secure special status for AP without any doubt.

Jagan asked Naidu why he could not secure the support of any party for AP special status despite bringing several regional leaders to AP for TDP campaigning.
