What's the cost of Pawan's chappals?

When power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan was addressing a press conference at Vijayawada on Tuesday, everybody was focussing on his outburst against the YSR Congress party leaders.

He had virtually transformed himself into the role of the suspended police sub-inspector Bhimla Naik in his film of that name and used the same language that the protagonist used in the film.

“Kodakallara (you fellows).. Chavatallara (useless fellows) and Daddammallara (idiots), Gonthu Pisikestha (throttle your necks), Cheppu Teeskoni Kodatha (beat you with chappals) and Pallu Raalakodatha (break your teeth),” were some of his abuses against the YSRC leaders.

What had caught the attention of the media persons covering the press meet was the chappal he was wielding and it became a nice picture opportunity for the photographers and electronic channels. Readmore!

But social media is different and as usual, it reacted differently. Even as Pawan fans and Jana Sena Party workers made the pictures of power star wielding the chappal posted in the social media, they went viral.

Within no time, netizens started searching for the brand of the chappals the Jana Sena chief was showing, generating curiosity as to which brand of chappals he was wearing.

Soon, they found an answer. The power star was wearing Fitflop chappals, a globally renowned brand of footwear made in the UK. Further inquiries revealed that he has been wearing this brand of footwear right from the days of his hit film – Attarintiki Daaredi.

Interestingly, this brand of footwear doesn’t cost a bomb as everybody thinks. Sources said it would cost only around 65 dollars, which is around Rs 6,000. It is not every expensive compared to the kind of dresses and shoes film stars wear these days.

Maybe, Pawan thought it is enough to spend that much to beat his political rivals!
