Watch: The Emotional Turmoil Of Rama Is Real War

An expert in making great love stories, Hanu Raghavapudi is coming up with a musical romantic entertainer Sita Ramam starring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur.

The director in his exclusive interview with greatandhra.com affirms the story and the songs of Sita Ramam will stay forever in the hearts of the audience.

“The story of Sita and Ram is part of our culture and DNA. It’s not subject that we learn in school. Rama is not a soft person, though the name sounds soft. He technically is a warrior. Sita Ramam album will not have aging.”

Usually, Krishna is the reference point for love stories, but Hanu chose Rama for this love story. Readmore!

“Sita Ramam is an apt title. Love is untouchable. It’s so beautiful. The Ram-Ravana war is not the real war, in my view. The real war is the emotional turmoil of Rama. When Sita was abducted and Rama has no clue regarding whereabouts of her. The love and the struggle between these two characters is the core story.

The love story happens in 1964-65. Since he’s an orphan soldier, he gets many letters. One letter surprises him. Who wrote it? Whether he ever met her? It’s going to be an onscreen magic. It’s beyond the love story, with many other elements in the narration.”

Hanu informs he gave four hours of narration to Dulquer and he liked it immediately. “I actually had two options for the character. Since the other hero was busy back then, we chose to go for Dulquer.”

The director says Vishal Chandrashekhar completed the tunes in just one month. “The remaining songs will also be good.”
