Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday accused the YSR Congress government of being callous in the investigation into the murder of former MP Y S Vivekananda Reddy, uncle of chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
But the special investigation team (SIT) constituted by the state government has been quietly doing its job of finding the accused in the murder.
At a time when Naidu was making allegations against Jagan, the SIT authorities interrogated the latter’s relatives Y S Bhaskara Reddy and Y S Manohar Reddy along with some TDP leaders.
The SIT authorities reportedly questioned them on the sequence of events that led to the murder so that they could get the evidences in the case. The SIT has already interrogated several persons connected with the incident till now.
Many of the suspects in the case have already undergone narco-analysis tests. One of them, a man named Reddy, committed suicide.
Several others were taken into custody and had been accused of conspiring for the murder.
