Gopichand and Srinu Vaitla’s hilarious action thriller Viswam produced by People Media Factory and Chitralayam Studios is due for release in a couple of days on October 11th.
Gopichand says he was waiting to work with Srinu Vaitla for a long time. “The director had shared a couple of lines with me in the past that were good. But I felt they weren't suitable for me. Then he narrated the storyline of Viswam which was very compelling. Everything fit together perfectly. He took seven months to shape the story into his style, and it beautifully incorporates action, fun, and comedy.”
The actor affirms that the train episode is in the movie is different from Srinu Vaitla’s previous movies. “I believe the train sequence in Viswam will provide exceptional entertainment. Artists like Vennela Kishore, VTV Ganesh, Naresh, and Pragathi all performed wonderfully. The train sequence blends both entertainment and a touch of tension, making it very engaging.”
Gopichand reveals that it’s the story of the protagonist, though the girl’s character is very crucial. “The character played by seven years old girl, yet her performance is outstanding. I was shocked by her talent. She’s definitely a big plus for the film.”
The actor avows that the movie has a social message. “The movie subtly addresses a relevant issue in India. It is told in an entertaining narrative.”
He unveils that shooting the movie at -15 degrees temperatures was very challenging. “My hands felt numb, while shooting in Manali. There’s also a melodious song shot in the beautiful locations of Italy. We also shot in Matera, Italy, as well as in Certina. No one has filmed there before, and it features some truly beautiful locations.”
Gopichand says that Viswam is a perfect festival movie that can be enjoyed with family members.
