'Virgin Story' Is For The Audience Born After 1995

Lagadapati Sridhr, the producer, is coming up with 'Virgin Story' as his home production with his son Vikram Sahidev in the lead.

The film is hitting the screen tomorrow and so he has given an exclusive interview to greatandhra. 

Talking about the film he came up with different opinions on the films of these times. 

When asked about his favorite pastime, he said, "I go to film festivals including Cannes every year like the religious people go to Tirumala, Mecca and Jerusalem. I also watch world cinema a lot".  Readmore!

Commenting on today's films and audience he said- "People are not going to theatre for family oriented stories. They prefer such films on TV. Only romantic comedies and large canvas films have the potential to pull audiences to theatres". 

Revealing about his success in family business and how he developed passion for films, he shared- "I was with the family business for 10 years. I have seen the development from 1 Cr to Rs 1000 Cr. But I love cinema. I achieved whatever I can in business. My first love is movies. My goal is to touch people's hearts and make them smile. 

Talking about his son Vikram Sahidev, he confessed- "Vikram has been facing camera since childhood. He asked me and acted in Race Gurram when he was in 6th grade. He has a passion to act. He is self disciplined and punctual. I also received good feedback about him from the producers, directors and technicians who worked with him. I didn't pull him into films. He did this out of passion". 

Finally opening up about the target audience of the film Virgin Story he said- "Virgin Story is an urban audience movie. It will be loved by the people who are born after 1995. This film is the reflection of today's urban society. Target audience for this film are the students".
