The combination of Ram Charan and director Boyapati Srinu made trade go crazy as both have huge following among mass audiences and expectedly the film did staggering pre-release business.
Will Ram Charan deliver another big hit this Sankranthi? Does this film have such stuff?
Story:
Rama (Ram Charan), an orphan is raised by another group of orphans (Prashanth, Aryan Rajesh, Madhunandan) and they live as brothers.
Rama sacrifices his studies and makes his elder brother as IAS officer. His brother is transferred to Bihar as election officer and there he tries to hold elections in free and fair manner in a place that is controlled by Raj (Vivek Oberoi).
How Rama saves his family from Raj is the story.
Artistes’ Performances:
Ram Charan has done nothing but fight, fight, fight and fight. Such is the bad role that he has chosen though he looks like a macho Rambo in the fight sequences.
As main villain, Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi is menacing.
Kiara has nothing to do but appear in songs. Prashanth as Charan’s elder brother has played very important role and he is neat. Sneha as Vadina is good.
Hema’s character is awkwardly bad and Prudhvi’s comedy is cheap.
Technical Excellence:
The film is shot with high production values. The large cast, huge number of dancers, fighters, big sets and cinematography have provided richness to the frames at the cost of story.
Although DSP’s songs are not that catchy only two songs have worked on screen. Producer Danayya has spent big money. Fights by Kanal Kannan are over the top, and very violent.

Analysis
Any number of adjectives cannot properly describe the experience of watching “Vinaya Vidheya Rama”. Let’s put it straight – this is one of the worst movies made in the recent times. No recent big hero movie has provided such harrowing feel like this inane movie does.
Although Boyapati is not known for making sensible movies his past masala movies at least had some sense in terms of plot or music or emotions. This is totally devoid of any sense or sensibilities. There are many bad movies made in the past couple of years but no movie comes close to this.
It seems like Boyapati has not written any script except sequences to create some fights. Even this never-ending fights are shot with unbelievable and illogical stunts. Too much of violence for no reason or rhyme.
A state election officer getting transferred from Vizag to Bihar itself is illogical. And you don’t know which scene is happening in which place. Bihar is portrayed as if it is no-man’s land where no law exists.
Just as we are adjusting to the outdated sequences in the first half, the director unveils more outrageously sequences in the second half.
Sample number 1: Ram Charan who is about to aboard a plane gets call from his brother in Bihar. Charan jumps out of the airport building and hops on top of a moving train to reach Bihar in a jiffy
Sample number 2: When he reaches to the place where his brother is in the captive of Vivek Oberoi, he beheads two goons and two vultures grab their heads mid-air.
Sample number 3: In a pre-interval fight, villains throw brick-sized stones at Ram Charan's family members and Charan stops the stones with his two hands.
Sample number 4: Vivek Oberoi grabs a snake and it bites him. Result: the snake dies.
There are many such scenes that assault our senses. The film is a marathon of irrational sequences.
The comedy is also equally bad with Prudhvi explaining his first-night experience with Hema in detail using words like 'Tadispoyina Aggipulla' referring about his private part.
The only sequence which is good is the confrontational sequence between Ram Charan and Mukesh Rishi but even then Ram Charan trying to unzip his fly is in bad taste.
In one line – it is totally bad from the beginning to end, with illogical sequences, loud and disturbing scenes.
Ram Charan said that he got “excited” with the “story” of this movie. Where is the story, Mr Ram Charan?
Bottom-line: Headache
