Vinaya Vidheya Rama Producer Shares The Burden of Buyers

Vinaya Vidheya Rama's failure has been one of the biggest shocks to Tollywood trade at the beginning of the New Year.

With Boyapati Sreenu at the helm and Ram Charan leading the way, VVR never looked like a disappointment.

The film seemed to be another Rs. 100 crore worth movie, which is why buyers shelled out big bucks to bag the rights of this Sankranthi biggie.

UV Creations paid a whopping Rs. 72 Crore for AP and Nizam distribution rights. The film managed to collect around Rs. 55 crore from Telugu states leaving a huge hole in the buyers pockets. Readmore!

Producer DVV Danayya who is currently producing the mega multi-starrer #RRR has decided to share a bit of the buyers burden.

According to reports, Danayya is ready to give back Rs. 5 crore to UV and has already paid Rs. 50 lakh to overseas distributor.

VVR had left the overseas buyer in shatters as it collected a mere $250K gross in its full run.

Overseas buyer is the biggest loser of all and Danayya might pay another Rs. 50 lakh to him, as per sources.

Last year it was Harika Hassine Creations that had compensated Agnyathavaasi buyers and now it is Danayya's turn to take care of his buyers.
