The film The GOAT starring Vijay in dual roles with Venkat Prabhu helming the project is gearing up for its theatrical release in less than a month on September 5th.
The film’s theatrical trailer that is out now shows Vijay portraying both a father and his son, with the son determined to protect his father at any cost.
The story centers on Vijay's character as a hostage negotiator, field agent, and spy, who is tasked with leading a team to prevent a terrorist attack. However, he is haunted by a past mission.
Known for his mastery in creating intense thrillers, Venkat Prabhu delivered a nail-biting actioner, as hinted by the trailer.
He presented Vijay in a role with multiple shades. The actor indeed appeared in various get-ups. Apparently, de-aging technology was used to show the younger version of the character.
Vijay is truly remarkable in a dual role. The trailer also introduced other main characters such as Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, etc.
While the narrative was engaging, the visuals captured by Siddhartha Nuni are spectacular. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s background complemented the narrative remarkably.
