Vakeel Saab Distributors Kept Film Industry In Trouble

There is a vast difference between getting the things done with 'request' and fighting for a 'right'. But some people seems not to be aware of this.

All these years, the exhibitors and distributors are requesting for hike in ticket prices for the first few days of the film release and for the extra shows on the release date. The permissions are given smoothly and the government system was never serious on such matters.

But now the Vakeel Saab incident has disturbed the entire scenario and the near future of big films seems to be in trouble.

The permission to hike the ticket prices is given in almost all the centers of AP excepting a few. Readmore!

In this connection, the East Godavari Joint Collector was dragged to the Court of Law by the local distributors for not granting the permission. The politicians also over reacted to this and made this an issue.

This has irked the government and the High Court also has given the judgement in favor of the government based on the merits. Finally the judgement says that the ticket prices cannot be hiked.

As a precedent, this judgement may affect the future releases.

It has become a practice to extract the maximum possible amounts from the pockets of the crazy first day audience to make the break even.

The remunerations of heroes are getting doubled and quadrapuled, while the burden is kept on the heads of distributors by selling the rights at high prices. The distributors are passing the burden to audience by rising the ticket prices.

Now on a whole, the above mentioned Vakeel Saab incident seems to have troubled all big films of the industry.

Not only that, a thorough focus of the government on exhibitors is also possible to find out the loopholes in the way they follow certain mandatory rules in running the theatres.

Now it is time for the big stars like Chiranjeevi to involve in the matter and resolve the issues in the interest of big stars and producers.
