In the last one month, USA Telugu distributors are feeling down with all latest releases failing to make a strong impact at box-office. Last weekend releases didn’t bring in audiences to the theaters.
Gopichand’s “Pantham” and Sai Dharam Tej’s “Tej I Love You” both didn’t even bring in 100k dollars in their opening weekend. Both are huge flops.
Sai Dharam Tej starrer “Tej I Love You” is a love story and it is touted as class movie. Such films expected to take best openings in USA but this film didn’t take off.
#TejILoveYou Fri: 42,823 Sat: $16,090 Sun: $9,000 Total Weekend: $67k (apprx)
Gopichand’s “Pantham”, a mass entertainer, expectedly didn’t get much patronage.
#Pantham Wed: $24,854 Thu: $9,601 Fri 8,179 Sat: $12,655 Sun: $9k Total Weekend: $65k (apprx)
On the other hand, “Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi” has finally reached near to half million mark. The film has added another $20k to its kitty to reach to $500k.
Still, it is not considered as a hit as the buying price was high. The director's previous film "Pelli Choppulu" collected $1.2 million.
