TTD not to allow Jagan without declaration?

If the reports coming form the temple town  of Tirupati are to be believed, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) may not allow YSR Congress party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy into the Tirumala temple to have darshan of Lord Venkateshwara without signing the faith declaration.

According to these reports, there will not be any restrictions on Jagan coming to Tirumala and stay in the guest house on Friday night.

However, on Saturday morning, the TTD officials will go to the guest house with the declaration form, asking him to sign it stating that he had complete faith in the Lord Venkateshwara.

As per rule 16 of the Andhra Pradesh Revenue Endowments Act and rule 136 of the TTD General Regulations, non-Hindus must submit a declaration at Vaikuntam queue complex stating that they have faith in Lord Venkateshwara. Readmore!

Since Jagan is a Christian by faith, he has to sign the declaration which is mandatory for all non-Hindus. Normally, all non-Hindus entering the temple queue complex will be asked to sign the declaration at the 17th compartment.

But for VIPs, the temple authorities will go to the guest house and get the declaration signed from the non-Hindus.

“If Jagan refuses to sign, he might not be allowed to have the darshan of Lord Venkateshwara and that might kick up a trouble,” sources said.

However, the YSRCP leaders have vehemently rejected the demand saying there was no need for any such declaration from Jagan, as he had already signed the register once in the past and there was no need for signing the declaration again and again.

They are said to be planning to register a big protest, if Jagan is denied permission to enter the temple.
