TPAD Bathukamma in Dallas: Anu to be Guest of Honor

Since the kick off meeting happened 3 weeks ago, Telangana Peoples Association of Dallas is going full throttle with their preparations for Bathukamma and Dasara Celebrations to be held on 13th October at the huge arena of Allen Arts Center, Dallas.

Even though they have been conducting Largest Bathukamma for past few years, outside Telangana, with participation of over 12,000 people, they always plan something new and make the celebrations worth participating, with family and friends in a joyful and festive environment.

It has been the tradition for TPAD to invite a prominent woman from India, either political or from Movie industry.

In the past celebrations, Smt Roja, prominent Actress and YSRCP MLA was the woman guest of the celebrations. She played Bathukamma, participated in Pooja with the women in the stadium. Readmore!

In maintaining the same tradition, TPAD has invited latest sensation of Tollywood, Anu Emmanuel as the guest of honor.  

As the Telugu Audience knows, she has acted with Pavan Kalyan, Allu Arjun and Naga Chaitanya in the movies Agnyaathavaasi, Naa Peru Surya and SailajaReddy Alludu.

The TPAD organizers said, she will be playing Bathukamma and participating in Jammi Pooja with the community.

Anu Emmanuel has a unique connection to the event. She is a second generation Indian, a citizen of USA, brought up in Dallas, with her family residing in Dallas.

Her participation in the celebrations will also get her to connect personally the community she was raised in.

TPAD Foundation Chair Raghuveer Bandaru, President Srini Gangadhara, BOT chair Sharada Singireddy said, that, “we want to pass on our tradition and culture to the next generation of American Indian generation and Anu Emmanuel’s participation in the celebration connects  the event to the younger Indian generation, brought up in USA and makes our effort to bring the youth along, easy.”
