Top 5: Karthikeya 2 Dominates At BO

1. Karthikeya 2: Even in the second weekend, this film rang the bell at the box office with houseful collections.

The film directed by Chandoo Mondeti with Nikhil in the main lead appealed to the audience for those like 'out of the routine' movies.

The supernatural and divine elements worked well in delivering the new experience.

The adventurous odyssey of the protagonist in finding out an element related to Lord Krishna forms the crux of the film. Its run seems to be unstopped even in the third week.

2. Sita Ramam: It's the end of the third weekend of this film but it is still making collections.

The openings at the time of release were impressive and surprisingly the third week collections were also consistent due to the positive word of mouth publicity. This is a relief to Telugu Film Industry after a long time.

Dulqar Salman played the lead while Mrinal Thakur fulfilled the requirement as female lead. Hanu Raghavapudi gave his best and finally it is a sigh of relief for producer Ashwini Dutt.

3. Bimbisara: The film is still running with impressive collections at the box office due to its socio fantasy element.

Kalyan Ram risked it by picking up this interesting tale but his decision fell on the right side making this a hit.

The collections are pretty good in many centers and the third week also has seen reasonable foot falls in many centers.

Kalyan Ram played the dual role while Catherine Tresa played the female lead. Mallidi Vasist scored a hit with his debut as the director.

4. Thiru: This imported film from Kollywood appealed to a set of audience and the talk has been positive. But the collections are not thumping as there are three local films that have already conquered several theatres.

Thiru is the story of a delivery boy who tries to get his life on track. Dhanush played the lead while Raashi Khanna and Nitya Menon are the female leads. Mithran R Jawahar directed the film.

5. Wanted Pandugod: This film has bitten mud without any trace. Writer turned director Sredhar Seepana directed the film in the production of Venkat Kovelamudi.

Sunil and Sudheer played main leads while Deepika was the female lead. Though there are many comedians in the film, it couldn't pull the audience's attention.

The collections were miserable and the talk was not positive.
