Three Suggestions To The AP Chief Minister

Able leaders take bold and innovative steps in the matter of governance. They may have a firm conviction on something or they may have some reference from other nation or state. But it is not true that all such models will be successful everywhere.

Like there is no rule that a remake of a superhit film need not be a superhit, so is the case in governance as well.

Now coming to the point, we are here discussing why the three main aspects of governance in Andhra Pradesh have to be amended.

1. Prohibition:
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken Prohibition as a prestigious issue. He got convinced with the idea of keeping the popular brands away and hiking up the prices of local brands will be perfect to make the regular drinkers lose interest on liquor.  Readmore!

But the situation has resulted in smuggling and black marketing of the popular brands of liquor from neighboring states. The popular brands are now sold at double the prices.

The dipsomaniacs those have got used to popular brands are not even thinking twice in selling the jewelry of their women and buying the bottles. So the purpose is not being served.

So, the suggestion to the government is the popular brands also should be made available at regular prices. Thus, the black marketing will be curbed.

On the other hand, the voters among the alcoholics understand that the government has understood their grievance. The bottom line is, one cannot change the mind of a drunkard.

The opposition party leaders are also lamenting for not finding their favorite brands in the state. Reality is far from the film "Rudraveena".

2. Advisors:
The Chief Minister has given the positions of Advisors to the Government to some of the elderly men those have supported him for about decades. He honored them with those positions as a token of respect.

He has also made them clear that they can enjoy only the position and the monthly salary but cannot do any kind of lobbyings.

But there is not big scope for these advisors to show their importance as there are many number of IAS officers in respectives Ministries and districts. So, the government salary these advisors are taking is getting wasted as it is public money.

So, the suggestion is instead of the Advisory Jobs they can be given some contracts of works in public interest.

There are many jobs including bringing awareness of the government schemes in rural areas and coordinating the help sought by village volunteers etc.

3. Party Colors And Shifting Of Offices:
All that is required is to find a place in the hearts of the people. Chief Minister has already made a place for him in millions of hearts with wonderful schemes.

It is not mandatory to see the party colors on each and every building and flag post.

It should be remembered how TDP has colored every corner of the state with yellow including Anna Canteens. So YSRCP government need not compete with TDP in chromomania.

Coming to the capital shift, the CM can operate the state from any place. Whenever he is in Vizag, the required officers and staff come to him. Who asked when CBN sat in Vizag for many days during Hudhud?

Who questioned when KCR was not in his office for many weeks? So, not shifting the offices and not troubling the employees is suggested for better image building in the public.
