Temple Sentiment Breaks Gajwel Jinx!

We often find many politicians having strong belief in religious rituals, sentiments and superstitions.

Especially leaders like Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao believe in Vasthu and other sentiments before embarking on any activity.

The caretaker chief minister has a strong sentiment towards Lord Venkateshwara Swamy of Konaipalli village of Mundrai block in Siddipet.

Siince his first election to the state assembly in 1985, KCR has been regularly visiting this village and pray the Lord before filing his nomination papers. Readmore!

This sentiment has never failed him, and he has been winning every election since then. This time, too, the TRS president visited the village, conducted special prayers at the Konaipalli temple before filing his nomination.

But, KCR has taken a risk this time, as he contested from Gajwel assembly constituency for a second term. Why risk?

Well, there is a strong sentiment attached to Gajwel as well: no candidate had won for two consecutive terms from this constituency.

The TRS president, however, strongly felt that his sentiment towards Konaipalli temple is stronger than this Gajwel sentiment.

Though he thought of shifting his constituency to Nalgonda this time, a fact which KCR himself admitted during the election campaign, he changed his mind and decided to contest from Gajwel itself, keeping faith in Konaipalli sentiment.

And the TRS chief won his seat with a huge majority over 58,000 votes. Thus, Konaipalli sentiment helped KCR break Gajwel jinx!
