Telangana Cong demands sacking of Gutha!

Congress party in Telangana on Friday lodged a complaint with Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan against state legislative council chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy stating that he was directly campaigning for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the by-elections in Huzurnagar.

In his representation to the Governor, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president & Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that Gutha was interfering in the election process of Huzurnagar by-election against all known constitutional norms and proprieties.

He said the council chairman had been bribing several local leaders from the Congress and forcing them to join the TRS.

"He has been openly telling them that he would become a minister in place of Malla Reddy or Jagadish Reddy if the TRS wins the Huzurnagar elections,” Uttam said. Readmore!

The PCC chief also alleged that Gutha’s son Amit Reddy was a government contractor, doing several works worth thousands of crores of rupees in irrigation and drinking water projects in the State of Telangana.

“How can the legislative council chairman function impartially, when his son is doing government projects worth thousands of crores? So, he should be immediately sacked from the council chairman post,” Uttam demanded.

He urged the Governor to order a probe into the matter through central intelligence agencies. Further, the Governor might then consider asking for the resignation of Sukender Reddy on moral and ethical grounds, he appealed.
