TDP NRIs also want nominated posts!

For the last few days, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is struggling to accommodate his party leaders, besides those of his alliance partners – Jana Sena Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party – in the nominated posts.

Now, Naidu is facing a fresh headache. Not just the local TDP leaders, even the party leaders of its NRI unit have now started demanding that they should be given the nominated posts and other key positions.

In a letter to the chief minister, NRI-TDP coordinator in the United States Komati Jayaram requested that the NRIs of the US, supporting the TDP, should also be considered for appointment in various nominated posts.

He reminded to Naidu that NRI TDP USA hardcore warriors and sympathizers who came to Andhra Pradesh prior to the election had worked day and night for the party in the elections. Readmore!

Even after losing the elections in 2019, these NRI TDP leaders had strived hard for the revival of the party and for the  success and victory of the party, spending their valuable time and huge amounts.

“It’s my opinion that if we provide some important suitable nominated posts for them, it will be good enough for welfare of our new capital region as well as development of Andhra Pradesh,” Jayaram said.

He enclosed a list of 216 NRI TDP workers in the US who are aspiring for the nominated posts under USA-NRI category.

The list was also copied to Naidu’s son and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, besides TDP Andhra unit president Palla Srinivas Rao.

The list includes names like Satish Vemana, Ravi Mandalapu, Krishna Gompa, Srinivas Guttikonda, Mohana Krishna Mannava, Sai Bollineni, Sasikanth Vallepalli, Prasad Chirumamilla and Rao Dronavalli.
