Less than a week away from release Saaho is creating the kind of buzz that would shake any seasoned director.
Sujeeth is just one film old…or young. He laughs at his own inexperience.
“There are so many questions about the film that will be answered once it is released. In fact right now I don’t want say anything about the film. Let the audience see what I’ve done. Let them judge me by my work and not my age.”
Saaho was to release on 15 August. But was was postponed to August 30. Why would this mammoth crowdpuller be scared of the competition from Hindi films Batla House and Mission Mangal? They should be running scared.
Laughs Sujeeth, “It’s not like that, Sir. We didn’t want to create an unnecessary competition. Besides we were not fully ready. Saaho has special affects that don’t look like special effects. We wanted the action to look raw and real and yet larger-than-life.”
Sujeeth is all praise for his leading man.
“Prabhas Sir’s dedication focus and passion to create something new has to be seen to be believed. He wanted to build a character and a world completely removed from Baahubali. Those who expect to see another Baahubali in Saaho would be shocked.”
There was a lot of talk during Prabhas’s visit to Mumbai about his inability to say anything in Hindi.
Sujeeth defends, “In fact Prabhas Sir can speak very good Hindi. He has dubbed his own lines in the Hindi version of Saaho. It’s just that he doesn’t talk much. Even while shooting he’s a man of few words.”
