Strikes on Pakistan shakes Naidu front!

Tuesday's surgical strikes on the terrorist camps in Pakistan by the combat forces of Indian Air Force might have definitely caused tremors in the neighbouring country.

At the same time, they have caused political tremors in India and the opposition parties which are coming together to form a front to pull down the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance from power, are perhaps more shaken than Pakistan,

The BJP leaders are obviously on cloud nine over the development as it would fetch a lot of political mileage to the party led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Hours after the air strikes on Pakistan, Modi said at a rally in Rajasthan's Churu: "I assure you, the country is in safe hands. There is nothing above the nation." Readmore!

He said he would reiterate what he had expressed in 2014 that he would not let the country die, stop and bend.

“It is my promise to Mother India, I will not let your head be bowed,” Modi said, stirring the emotions of the people across the country.

Opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banjerjee, Mayawati, Kejriwal and even Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu had no option but to support the surgical strikes on Pakistan and endorse Modi’s stand. And they have started realising that the aggression is going to help Modi a lot in the coming elections.

Though Naidu did not come out with any statement reflecting his frustration so far, his party MP from Vijayawada Kesineni Nani was quick to deny any credit to Modi.

“There is nothing great for Modi to boast about. The entire credit for the surgical strikes goes to the Indian armed forces. It is unfortunate that Modi is trying to cash in on the air strikes on Pakistan for his political gains,” he said.

Watch out for more critical statement from Naidu in a day or two!
