Sri Reddy: Tollywood is the worst film industry

Tollywood actress Sri Reddy, who created a huge buzz in talking boldly about the existence of the casting couch and dragging many T’town personalities in the sex racket controversy SriLeaks, has ultimately achieved for what she was reportedly fighting for a film chance.

She even stripped in front of the Movie Artists Association (MAA) in Hyderabad as a sign of protest.

On August 20, Sri Reddy held a press meet in Chennai and addressed a lot of problems that she has been facing.

She said, "In Telugu, the audience will watch and encourage the films featuring big heroes. Only four film families are ruling the entire industry. That is the reason why Tollywood is the worst of all. Also, the industry does not encourage any new talent. However, in Chennai, even the small-budget films are getting recognised."

Sri Reddy also revealed that she will not be accepting any glamorous roles or characters that might require her to wear a bikini. She wants to accept roles that will inspire women.

On the professional front, Sri Reddy admitted that she has a handful of films lined up in different stages of production.

Now that that she has got some respite and signed two more flicks besides Reddy Diary, will she stop her SriLeaks videos?  She retorts, “No! It will continue if people try to misbehave with me. I am not doing it for the heck of ii and it will be a lesson for girls in future to be cautious.”

The dusky girl says that former actress and CM of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalaithaa is her role model.

“I like her personality and her grittiness in handling issues. I may enter politics if the opportunity knocks,” she says even as she signs off with a smile at the Press Club.
