Shyam Singha Roy Takes Us Back To 70s: Venkat

Venkat Boyanapalli ventured into film production with Nani’s highest budgeted movie Shyam Singha Roy which is getting ready for release on December 24th.

The producer informs the film’s post-production works are nearing completion.

“Shyam Singha Roy is a beautiful love story and it is name of a single character, though Nani played two roles.

As is known, the film’s story is set in Kolkata backdrop. “Good thing about the film is it will take us back to 1970’s in Kolkata in terms of culture, the milieu back then.

We shot the movie in a village which is 400 kms away from Kolkata and also in huge sets erected in Hyderabad.”

Venkat admits the film’s budget increased due to covid and incessant rains which damaged the sets.

The producer affirms the story of Shyam Singha Roy has universal appeal , thus they are releasing it in all south languages.

“I presume the film will be remade in Hindi language,” he says.
