There is growing debate among BJP leaders in the Visakhapatnam district about whether they need to praise the TDP leadership to secure or retain positions.
Vishnu Kumar Raju, a two-term BJP MLA from the North constituency, consistently praises TDP leaders and attributes Chandrababu Naidu's governance as a key factor in development.
Similarly, Sagi Kashi Viswanadha Raju, recently appointed as a nominated director in SAIL, held a press conference at the BJP office where he lauded senior TDP leaders, also acknowledging the TDP's sincere concern over the steel plant issue.
Recently, governing bodies for 20 corporations were formed under the TDP alliance, but none of the BJP leaders from Visakhapatnam were included in the nominated positions.
It is believed that BJP members who express support for the TDP leadership are more likely to be considered for such posts.
In Visakhapatnam, BJP leaders remain uncertain about who will be selected for future positions, but many feel that praising TDP leaders is a necessary step to secure these opportunities.
There are also rumors suggesting that former MP GVL Narasimha Rao, who unsuccessfully attempted to contest as the Visakhapatnam MP, did not receive any central-level nominations due to the influence of leaders who switched from TDP to BJP.
As a result, there is a growing sentiment that the TDP is exerting considerable influence over the BJP in Andhra Pradesh.
