Shah To Meet NTR, Not Naidu

There have been rumours doing around in the two Telugu states for the last two days that Union Home Minister Amit Shah would meet TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to Telangana on Sunday.

Amit Shah is stopping at Ramoji Film City for a while, which created the rumour.

It was said that Cherukuri Ramoji Rao is mediating on behalf of Chandrababu Naidu for alliance with the BJP for the 2024 general elections in Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP chief and its rank and file are in desperate mood to wrest power in the state by any means. It was said that Chandrababu Naidu had offered 15 Lok Sabha seats for the BJP, if the latter agreed for restoration of alliance, besides helping the BJP in Telagnana elections.  Readmore!

Brushing aside all these rumours, Amit Shah is meeting actor Junior N T Rama Rao in Hyderabad.

Junior NTR had been posing a threat to the TDP about his possible coup to rob the party and its resources as Chandrababu Naidu did in 1995 against late NTR.

The BJP leadership, particularly Amit Shah and Narendra Modi are still angry with Chandrababu Naidu for the way he broke alliance with the BJP and aligned with the Congress during the 2019 general elections.

It is now clear that Shah and Modi will not fall prey to the opportunistic politics of Chandrababu Naidu.

By meeting Junior NTR, Shah had given a clear indication to the rank and file of the TDP that the BJP is going all out to cut the roots of Chandrababu Naidu.

The BJP leadership is now comfortable with Jagan Mohan Reddy, whom, they call a dependable friend.

The BJP at the Centre is not ready to entertain Chandrababu Naidu anymore just because he is offering more number of Lok Sabha seats in alliance.

“If something goes wrong and the BJP fails to get comfortable majority, there is no guarantee that Chandrababu Naidu would stand by the BJP. There are chances that he might go with the Congress, which is very dangerous,” a senior BJP leader said.
