Sarileru: Jagapathi Babu Has Last Laugh!

Mahesh Babu's "Sarileru Neekevvaru" has already slowed down its run in all areas.

It is now pretty clear that director Anil Ravipudi took many erratic decisions about this film that was the reason why it could not wholly satisfy anyone.

One of the reasons was giving overhype to the lengthy train episode when the film was under production.

The episode was a damp squib as the people expected rib-tickling comedy given all the hype. The other reason is casting Prakash Raj.

The national-award-winning actor’s performance has become monotonous of late. That is why all filmmakers are avoiding him in Telugu.

Sukumar, Trivikram and other top filmmakers have started giving roles to Murali Sharma, Rao Ramesh, and Jagapathi Babu which would earlier have meant for Prakash Raj.

Anil Ravipudi had first approached Jagapathi Babu for this role of Kurnool politician but due to pressure from Mahesh Babu, he gave that role to Prakash Raj.

Jagapathi Babu was deeply hurt because he even alotted dates for the film. He came out and clarified leaving this project as well.

Now the film is out and critics said Prakash Raj didn’t ignite any sparks in that role.

The casting of Jagapathi Babu would have added novelty factor as Prakash Raj did such roles in the past. It was poor judgment on part of Mahesh Babu.

Who has the last laugh now?
