Sree Vishnu has recently suffered setbacks following a string of flops. After experimenting with various film genres, he has returned to the comedy genre.

Let us weigh its advantages and disadvantages.

Story:
Balu (Sree Vishnu) works as a ticketing clerk in a multiplex theater and lives with his parents. His father (Naresh) has been attempting to pass his degree exam for decades. According to Balu's grandfather's will, they will inherit crores of rupees only if his father passes the graduate exam. Readmore!

Through his father, Balu meets Sarayu (Reba Monika), who is also not good at studies and is attempting to pass supplementary exams. She eventually becomes a paying guest in their home. Balu and Sarayu fall in love.

The plot twist is that they learn that Balu's brother-in-law is marrying Sarayu's cousin, which complicates their relationship. What exactly is the problem?

Artistes’ Performances:
Sree Vishnu has always been good at playing middle-class youngster roles. He has superb comic timing. After a long wait, he landed a role that is right in his wheelhouse, and he nailed it with ease. Reba Monika looks suited for the role.

VK Naresh also does a lot of comedy. The senior actor is in top form here. In the role of a caste fanatic, Vennela Kishore brings the house down in the second half of the film. Srikanth Aiyynger is okay.

Technical Excellence:
Songs serve as roadblocks in comedy movies. Gopi Sundar's only one romantic song is catchy but the other numbers do not work and, as previously stated, obstruct the flow. The cinematography in the film is adequate. Nandu Savirigana's dialogue writing is very good.

Highlights:
Comedy dialogues
Srivishnu's performance
Naresh's track
Hilarious first half
Interval twist

Drawback:
Simplistic climax
Not so tight second half

Analysis
"Samajavaragamana" is a fam-com, or a romantic comedy with family elements. Although the film is primarily a rom-com, the plot twist makes it different from the regular.

In general, lovers face opposition from their parents, caste issues, class differences, or ego issues. However, the lovers in "Samajavaragamana" face an unusual problem. The film's strength stems from this novel concept. This twist not only stands out, but it also generates a lot of laughter.

The narrative is uncomplicated. The director establishes early on that he intends to make audiences laugh no matter what. The first scene itself is hilarious. In order to do well in school and on tests, fathers often encourage their children to wake up early and study hard. In this case, it's the son who takes charge and asks his father to clear the exam.

The film then shifts its attention to the developing romance between the hero and heroine. Even during the typical romantic scenes, the one-liners continue. The jokes are at their funniest at the interval twist. Marriage is forbidden for the couple because their "vavi varusa" is not correct due to some circumstances. Many jokes have been made as a result of this chaos.

The film is hilarious throughout but the first half scores better than the second half in the humor department. Thankfully, the comedic relief of Vennela Kishore's appearance as Kula Sekhar saves the final act.

The title "Samajavaragamana" doesn’t have justification. However, there are a few minor improvements that could have been made, to make this film sit on the top of entertainers.

Overall, "Samajavaragamana" is a family entertainer, with both funny and romantic parts. However, you will laugh out loud when the jokes land. It's popcorn entertainment.

Bottom line: Hasya Varagamana
