Sakshi managing editor appointed Jagan advisor!

Even as the elections to Andhra Pradesh state assembly just three months away, YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy appointed one more advisor to the government.

Senior journalist N V V S Bhaskara Ramam, better known as Nemani Bhaskar, who has hitherto been the managing editor of Sakshi television channel, has been appointed as advisor to the state government on public policy with immediate effect.

Orders to this effect were issued by Principal Secretary in the General Administration Department (Political) Revu Muthyala Raju on Monday night. The proposal has been on cards for quite some time.

The post of advisor to the government (public policy) has been lying vacant for the last two years, ever since veteran journalist K Ramachandra Murthy resigned from it on the grounds that there was nothing for him to do nor advise the government on any issues. Readmore!

Bhaskar, who worked in various newspapers including Andhra Bhoomi and Sakshi, for several years, before moving to television journalism.

He worked for quite some in NTV, before shifting to Sakshi TV where he worked in various capacities including input editor and managing editor.

He has been a trusted loyalist of YSR family right from the beginning and had been associated with YSR Congress party since its inception.

He also has close connections with spiritual leaders, particularly Visakhapatnam Sarada Peetham seer Swamy Swaroopanandendra.
