“Game Changer,” “Daaku Maharaaj,” and “Sankranthiki Vasthunnam” are the first three films of the new year, 2025, and the entire Telugu film industry is hoping for a great start.
With the Sankranthi festival being one of the biggest and most lucrative seasons for the theatrical business, distributors and exhibitors are highly enthusiastic.
These three films have collectively generated close to â¹250 crore in pre-release business across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, with “Game Changer” alone accounting for â¹130 crore in these two states.
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s “Daaku Maharaaj” and Venkatesh’s “Sankranthiki Vasthunnam” have together contributed over â¹100 crore.
As a result, these three films need to recover these massive investments within the festival period.
If the films receive positive reviews, recovering these amounts won’t be challenging.
Among the three, the Venkatesh starrer was sold for a comparatively lower price, giving it a high chance of recouping its pre-release business easily.
However, “Game Changer” and “Daaku Maharaaj” will rely heavily on strong word-of-mouth to achieve success.
