This is the shocking scenario in Hyderabad where the benefit show ticket of a film is hitting Rs 5000 officially.
The government has lifted the gates of restrictions on the ticket prices and this is leading to the prices flying above the clouds.
We are talking about India's prestigious movie RRR which is releasing on this 25th March.
Sources say that almost 5 theatres around Kulatpally and Moosapet area are screening the benefit shows for which the ticket prices are fixed at Rs 5000 as of now. Distributor Dil Raju sold out these shows to exhibitors at a huge price.
Adding some costs to procure official permissions and also the profits, the price of Rs 5000 is arrived.
The total number of tickets for a show in all the 5 theatres put together comes to 5000. So, that's a clear Rs 2.5 Cr business if all the tickets are sold at that price.
But is that practically possible? Already the fans of both the stars are making a fuss on social media. They ask how they can buy tickets at such a price which is more than that of a flight ticket to Delhi?
On the other hand some inside sources say that this figure is not the final one but only to manipulate the minds of fans.
"When the price is fixed at Rs 5000 and reduced phenomenally in a day or two, then the fans wouldn't mind buying at Rs 1000 or Rs 2000. That's the mind game the exhibitors are going to play", says an insider.
But as of now, the feelers are going around that Ram Charan and NTR will visit all these five theatres during the screening of the benefit show.
Well, this is to support the huge price of Rs 5000.
