Hours after Telangana Congress president and chief minister A Revanth Reddy made a prediction that Bharat Rashtra Samithi led by former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will soon merge with the Bharatiya Janata Party, the BRS leaders have shot back at the chief minister.
BRS working president and former minister K T Rama Rao said Revanth Reddy himself is certain to join the BJP along with his team sooner or later.
He said the chief minister is afraid of making any comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the real reason for this was his affiliation with the BJP.
“Recently, Revanth Reddy reportedly disclosed to his close associates that his next political move would be towards the BJP. He is certainly going to join the BJP along with his team soon,” KTR said.
The BRS leader pointed out a statement of Revanth Reddy in the early days of his career.
"I was born in the BJP and will end my political journey in the BJP –“ was what the chief minister said to his colleagues.
He said Revanth Reddy had told Prime Minister Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah that he had started his political journey with the ABVP and will end it under the same saffron flag.
“Revanth must clarify this to the public,” KTR demanded.
With regard to loan waiver promise of the Congress, KTR said the entire process was a sham.
“The BRS will gather detailed information on loan waivers at the village level, which will then be submitted to district collectors and subsequently to the state government. If the government fails to address the farmers' concerns, state-wide protests will commence in two days,” he said.
KTR vowed to exert pressure on the government to ensure that every farmer receives a loan waiver. The BRS will start collecting data from the Chief Minister's constituency and proceed across all constituencies. If justice is not served, the party will initiate direct action.
