Real Reason Behind Rahman's Walkout from Sye Raa

It is no longer a rumor. A R Rahman has walked out of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s prestigious movie “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” citing unavailability of time and dates.

Rahman told the media in Hyderabad that he has not taken up “Sye Raa” as he has to promote his maiden production “99 Songs” and work on with concerts and other assignments.

This is strange. All the commitments Rahman is talking about were there when he had agreed to sign this film. Then why did he walk out?

Sources say he got miffed with the team’s attitude. The first issue came up when Thaman scored background music for the motion-poster at the time of the official launch. This didn’t go well with Rahman. Readmore!

Later, Megastar Chiranjeevi stepped in and convinced him that they took Thaman’s music for motion-poster only because Rahman was busy at that time.

But bargaining about remuneration and other things led Rahman not to continue with the film. Hence, he politely denied of working on this film.

Rahman’s official version is this: “Sye Raa is a huge film that has a great story to tell. It needs total devotion. I don’t have time for this.”
